We heard you, Nashville! You want a transportation system that keeps pace with our growth while retaining the characteristics that make Music City special. Reflecting years of study, listening and planning, Let’s Move Nashville: Metro’s Transportation Solution does just that. It’s an engine that powers our city and connects our neighborhoods with jobs, education and economic opportunity. And it’s bold and achievable - reflecting the collective vision of citizens throughout Davidson County.

Metro’s transportation solution has immediate and long-term benefits for every part of town.  It quickly enhances our existing bus system both downtown and crosstown to connect neighborhoods and neighbors as never before.  It provides four new high-capacity “Rapid Bus” lines featuring longer, faster and more frequent service.  And, over time, it brings Light Rail Transit (LRT) to Nashville along five of our most heavily travelled corridors.  Plus, we’re creating a tunnel downtown under 5th Avenue – making travel into and out of our city more convenient than ever. And nearly two dozen convenient Neighborhood Transit Centers allow easy access to the entire system.

Our transportation solution also enhances modes of travel for transit riders, bicyclists, drivers and pedestrians. In short, no matter how or where you want to move in Nashville, this plan makes it easier, safer and more reliable.
